Ranong
is the first province of the south which is located some 568 kilometers
from Bangkok. It is famous province even though it has the area
of 3,298 square kilometers, Thailandirainiest province the narrowest
part here is the isthmus in the Malayan Penisula. Ranong is a
longnarrow plot of land extending 196 kms.from north to south,
and only 9 kms.sat its narrowest. Most of the province is rainforested
mountains many islands, surrounded by blue sea make Ranong an
ideal place for tourism.
The administration
of the province is divided into 4 districts and 1 sub-district.
They are Muang Ranong District, Kra Buri District, Kapoe District,
La-un District and Suk Samran Sub-District.

Climate
Ranong
is the fomous of rainy province of Thailand. It rains nearly thruout
year.The appropiate season to travel the islands is between November
to April.

By Car
From
Bangkok take Route 4 (Buddha Mondhol Street), passing the provinces
of Petchburi, and at Pratomporn Crossroads then turn right about
112 km to Ranong.
By Bus
Government
and private companies provide air conditioned and regular buses.
They leave daily from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal. For more

By Train
From
Bangkok Railway Station (Hualumphong) to Chumporn Station .And then
take a bus to Ranong about 122 km. Contact the travel office of
